By Act 32 & 33 Vict. c. 43, the Salaries and Allowances of the Diplomatic Service were transferred from the Consolidated Fund to the annual Civil Service Estimates from April 1869; and all pensions subsequently granted are similarly provided for. The pensions included above are, therefore, those which were granted prior to April 1869. One moiety of this pension, viz. 1,0801., payable to the Duke of Leeds, was commuted in 1876; and 967. per annum of the remaining moiety was commuted in 1877. |
