ARTICLES OF AGREEMENT, indented, had, made, con
cluded, and fully agreed upon, this day of September, in the year of our Lord 1773, and in the, &c. between E. S. of, c. W. S. of, &c. J. W.ot, &c. and W. M. of, &c. of the one part, and C. P. of Ec. of the other part.
HEREAS the said C. P. hath agreed with the said E. S.
W.S. 7.W. and W.M. for the purchase of the premises herein after-mentioned, for the sum of pounds, to be paid to them on the
next; NOW THESE PRESENTS WITNESS, that the said E. S. S.W. 7.W. and W. M. in consideration of the sum of pounds of lawful money of Great Britain, to be paid to them at the time aforesaid, do hereby for themfelves, their heirs, executors, and administrators, covenant and agree to and with the said C. P. his heirs and assigns, that they the said E. S. W. S. J. W. and W. M. or their heirs, or such persons as are or shall be in trust for them, or any of them, or for the wives of them the said 7. W. and IV. M. or of either of them, shall, and will, as soon as conveniently may be after such payment made, at the costs and charges of the said C. P. his heirs or alligns, by such conveyances and afurrances in the law as his or their counsel shall reasonably advise, well and sufficiently grant, convey, and aflure unto the said C. P. and his heirs, or to such person or persons as he shall nominate for that purpose, ALL THAT piece or parcel of garden ground, containing, by eftimation, - acres, more or less, fituate, lying, and being in the said parish of
AND ALSO ALL that piece or parcel of ground lying next
in the said parish, containing, by estimation, in length, from east to west, feet of assize, in breath from north to south - feet, more or less. AND ALSO ALL that messuage or tenement, with the appurtenances, situate, standing, and being in
aforesaid. AND ALSO ALL those two several meluages or tenements, with the appurtenances, fituate, standing, and being in the parish of
AND ALSO ALL that little piece or parcel of ground adjoining to the garden ground before-mentioned, containing, by estimation, about
AND ALSO ALL that little piece of ground or land adjoining to the said garden ground, and containing, by eftination, about roods, together wih all ways, yards, backsides, profits, commodities, and all other the appurtenances thereto beloning; ALL which said premises are now in the possession of the said C. P. or his under-tenants; AND the faid C. P. for him felf, his heirs and assigns, doth covenant and agree to and with the said E. S. IV. S. 1. W. and IV. M. their heirs and assigns, that he the said C. P. his heirs, executors, or administrators, thall, and will, on the said day of ---, peremptorily pay unto the said E. S. IV. S. and IV. M. their heirs or alligns, or to their
order, the said sum of - pounds, as and for the purchasemoney of the said messuages or tenements, and premises above-mentioned; and also shall, from time to time, until the said day of —, and for so long time afterwards as the said pounds, or any part thereof, shall continue unpaid, well and truly pay, or cause to be paid unto the said E. S. W. S. S. W. and IV. M. their heirs or afligns, a!) the rent that now is, or shall become due for the said premiles, by virtue of the lease under which the said C. P. now holds the same ; and also perform all the covenants in the said lease contained, on the leffee or aflignee's part to be paid and performed. (for and on behalf, and in pursuance of a power or letter of attorney to him made and given for that purpose, by and from J. HERE AS the said C. V. for and on the behalf, and by the
order of the said y. A. hath contracted and agreed with the said C. C. for the absolute sale of the manor, capital messuage, lands, tenements, hereditaments, goods, chattels, and furniture, herein aftermentioned, for the sum of payable as herein after is particularly expressed. NOW THESE PRESENTS WITNESS, that the said C. V. for and on the behalf, and by the order of the said ). A. and for the confideration herein after-mentioned, doth hereby for himself, his heirs, executors, and administrators, covenant, promre, and agree, to and with the said C. C. his heirs and aligns, in manner following; that is to fay, that he the said 7. A. and his heirs, and all and every other person and persons whatsoever, lawfully claiming, or to claiin any eitate or interest in the premises, or any part thereof, fall, and will, on or before the

C. his executors, administrators and asigns, all and every the goods, chattels and furniture, of, in, and belonging to the faid capital mesfuage, out-houses and premises, hereby agreed to be conveyed, and every part thereof, as the same are particularly mentioned in the schedule or inventory thereof hereunto annexed. (The goods and forviture of, in, and belonging to the room -- only excepted) TO HOLD to the said C. Č. lis executors and administrators, as his, and their own proper goods and chattels for ever. AND ALSO, that the said y. 1. his heirs and alligns, thall and will, within days next following the date hereof, produce and thew forth to the said C.C.or to such person or persons as he shall appoint, the deeds and writings concerning the faidlands and hereditaments, so agreed and intended to be conveyed; and that no tiecs, wood, or underwood growing thereon, shall be cut up or destroyed, or any waite, ftripe or spoil, done or committed in any the houses, gardens, orchards, fish-ponds, or any other part of the premifes from this time forward. IN CONSIDERATION whereof the said C. G. for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, doth hereby covenani, promile and agree to and with the faid C.V. his heirs, executors, administrators and afiigns, that he the said C. C. his heirs, executors or administrators, fhall and will, well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the faid 7. A. his heirs, executors, administrators or asigns, the full fum of pounds, of lawful money of Great Britain, in manner and form following, that is to say, upon his the said 7. A. or bis heirs making a good title in fee-fimple, and executing conveyances of the said manor, meffuages, lands and premises to the raid C. C. his heirs and assigns, clear of all incumbrances as aforesaid, and on executing a bargain and fale of the said goods and furniture as aforesaid. AND for the true performance of thele articles, the said parties hereto do respect vely bind themselves, and their several heirs, executors and administrators to each other, and to the heirs, executors and administrators of each other, in the penal sur of - firmly by these presents. For a covenant servant to a buckle-maker for four years, ARTICLES of AGREEMENT, indented, made and agreed upon
the day of — in the year of our Lord 1773, between R. D. of, &c. of the one part, and E. W. of, &c. tor and on the behalf of C. W. an infant, son of the said E. W. of the other
IRST the said R. D, doth for himself, his executors, admini
strators and asigns, hereby covenant and agree, to and with the Said E. W. and C. IV. agree to take into his service the said C. W. and him to teach and instruct in the trade or business of a buckle. maker, which he now useih, for the term of four years, to be computed from the date hereof, during all which time he thall or will find, provide, or cause to be found or provided for the raid C. IV, fufficient meat, drink, washing, clothes and lodging, fitting and necessary for him. And also pay or cause to be paid unto him, at or after the rate of a we-k, weekly, for and during the faid
years of the said term, and --- a week, weekly for and during the first three years of the said term, and a week, weekly, for and during the last year of the said term, if he shall so long live, continue with, and do him the faid R. D. true, just, and faithful service in his trade or business aforesaid.
Item. The laid E. W. and C. IV. for themselves, severally, and each of their several executors, and administrators, do and each of them doth hereby for herself, and himself, covenant and agree, to and with the said R. D. his executors, administrators and assigns, that the said, C. W. fhall, during the said term of four years, work, and do the said R. D. true, juft, and faithful service in his trade or business aforesaid, on his being found or provided with the several necessaries, and paid the several weekly payments in manner herein, before particularly mentioned.
AND for the true performance of the several covenants, and agreements aforesaid, each and either of the said parties hereto doth hereby severally bind and oblige himleif, herself, and themselves, his, her, and their heirs, executors and administrators, unto the other of them, his, her, and their heirs, executors, and administrators respectively, in the penal sum of --- pounds, of lawful money of Great Britain, firmly by these presents. To a Lapidary and Jeweller for seven years, ARTICLES of AGREEMENT, indented, had, made, conclud. ed, and agreed upon this
in the year of our Lord, 1773, by and between 7. F. of, &c. and S. F. his form of the one
part, and 7. S. of, $c. of the other part, as fuilowcth, viz. IMPRIMIS: The faid J. S. in.confideration that the faid ?
F. hath, by and with the comfuat of the said S. F. bis fin, teiti. fied by his being made a party to, and figning and sealing one part
of these presents, put and placed the said S. F. to and with the said
J. S. to serve him as his apprentice, for and during, and unto the full end and term of seven years, to be accounted from the day of — in the year aforesaid ; and also in consideration of the sum of pounds paid to the said J. S. by the said 7. F. with the said S. F. his fon, at or before the cxecution of these presents, he the said 7. S. doth hereby agree to instruct and teach, or cause to be taught and instructed, the said S. F. in the art and mistery of a Lapidary and jeweller, which he the said 7. S. now follows.
Item. THE said J. F. for himself, his executors and administrators, doth covenant, promise and agree, to and with the faid J. S. his executors and administrators, by these presents, as followeth, viz.
That the said S. F. shall, duely, truely, and faithfully serve him the faid J. S. as his apprentice, for and during the whole term of seven years, to be accounted from the said day of ----as aforesaid and from thence next ensuing, and fully to be complete and ended, if the said J. S. and S. F. Thall so long live during which said term of seven years, the said S. F. shall readily and willingly obey, perform, and observe all his faid master's lawful commands, his secrets keep, and shall not willingly or negligently absent himself, or depart from or out of the service of his raid master, day or night, without his knowledge and confent, nor shall the said S. F. do any damage to his said master, or cause it to be done by others.
Item. THE said 7. F. for himself, his executors and administrators, doth further covenant, promise and agree, to and with the said 7. S. his executors and administrators, that he the said S. F. his executors and administrators, by these presents, that he the faid y. F. fhall and will during all the said term of seven years, find and provide, and allow onto the said S. F. all manner of convenient and necessary apparel whatsoever.
Item, THE said J. S. for himself, his executors and administrators, doth covenant, promise and agree, to and with the faid y. F. his executors and administrators, that he the said 7. S. will instruct, and teach the said S. F. according to the best of his skill and knowledge in his said business, and will endeavour to teach him to know the value of all diamonds and other curious ftones relating to his business, and will also permit the said.S. F. to go with him the said 4. S. to Change and other places, that he may learn how to buy and sell jewels and other stones. AND the said 7. S. doth hereby promise the said y. F. that if he the said 7. S. Mould take a servant to do the lecting part of the said business, that he will also teach the faid S. F. or cause him to be taught, the said art of setting being a branch of the said business. AND the raid 7. S. will provide his faid apprentice with meat, drink, washing and lodging; and in case of sickness or any other accident, whereby his said apprentice înall be disabled to serve him, he the said 7. S. will also provide for and allow his faid apprentice all manner of necessaries whatsoever, during his fickness.
AND LASTLY, The said 4. S. for himself, his executors and administrators, doih covenant, promise, grant and agree, to and with the faid 7. F. his executors and administrators as followeth, viz. That
