for eternity. For Job says, "I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth, (or near where it was in the air;) yet in my flesh shall I see God." Our bodies had been consumed in the dust, and our eyes dissolved; then we shall be remade with eyes to behold the things that shall then be transacted. We shall behold our Saviour coming in the air with holy angels, and all the spirits that have been in paradise. We shall then see the sun and moon darkened, and the stars disappearing; the earth burning, and the elements melting with fervent heat; and shall see ourselves placed at the right hand of the Judge; and shall hear the joyful sentence which he will pronounce, which is, "Come ye blessed of my Father, to enjoy a kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world;" and also that sentence to those on his left hand, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." Such shall be the end of our second state; and then comes the third and last state, or station. When judgment is over, we shall be taken into heaven; where we shall see God for ever, and enjoy the society of angels and saints; and though then we shall have eternal life, yet we shall always be blessed and happy.

Now I can go no further with any description

of that most glorious state, and delightful habitation; that heavenly rest of blessedness and of life everlasting. I have described the former states, being informed by Revelation, and guided by the word of God; but revelation goes no farther, but only assures us, that no sin, no Satan, nor death can ever come near us; but we shall have what we can desire, enjoy what we can wish for, and partake of endless joys and comforts.

Oh, blessed Jesus! according to thy grace and goodness, make us heirs and joint heirs with thee in future glory, and inheritors of the kingdom of heaven; to whom be ascribed all glory, honour, power, and praise, for ever and for ever. Amen.

THE END.
