After reading this book back in 2005 I decided I wanted to be evolutionary geneticist. It is indeed a bit deprecated, particularly the phylogenetics part which is now completely obsolete. However, is is still a great read. The last chapter is one of my favourite texts in all evolutionary biology. Read full review
