About the author (1995)

Author Nigel Parton: Nigel Parton is Professor in Applied Childhood Studies at the University of Huddersfield, UK. He is the author of over 100 book chapters and journal articles in the broad fields of social and child welfare including a number particularly concerned with the nature and impact of the risk paradigm. He has worked with and written with colleagues from the USA, Australia, Northern Europe as well as all countries in the UK. He is the author of a number of books for Palgrave Macmillan and has considerable experience of book and journal editing.
