What then is left for me to say, but that I am, with the warmest gratitude, and with the most profound respect,
without a preface, otherwise I should not write one to this; for, in truth, I have nothing to say. I ask no indulgence; I bid no defiance; I am, what I wish England was, at peace with all the world; and I demand. of my reader nothing but candour.
