TO OUR SUBSCRIBERS.

In bringing the fifteenth volume of La Belle Assemblée to a close, the

present proprietors beg to call the attention of their Subscribers and the public to

the circumstance that this property has fallen into new hands, and will in future be conducted under an entirely new management. They feel confident in promising, that, notwithstanding what has been hitherto done towards rendering it worthy of public patronage, their future endeavours to raise it to a higher standard, not only in pictorial, but literary eminence, will increase their claims to that approbation

which has been so liberally accorded to the exertions of its former proprietors. The valuable services of the HONORABLE Mrs. Norton have been secured as Editor,

and other arrangements have been made for the future improvement of the work, both in support of its peculiar character and general features. The proprietors

therefore trust that the first number of the SIXTEENTH volume, will be a sufficient

earnest of the great improvements they contemplate, and of the high stand

La Belle Assemblée will take among the miscellaneous literature of the country.
