About the author (2005)

Emily Ellison is the author of three books of fiction (Alabaster Chambers, First Light, and The Picture Makers) and the co-editor of an anthology of contemporary American literature (Our Mutual Room: Modern Literary Portraits of the Opposite Sex). Ms. Ellison is a founder of the Atlanta Girls' School, a nonsectarian, nondiscriminatory, nonprofit college preparatory day school for adolescent girls and young women. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and teen-aged daughter.
