here perfonally prefent in full Court, the Lord of the Manor aforefaid, by his faid Steward, did grant thereof Seifin by the Rod; To have and to hold the faid Mefuage and Cotage, with the Appurtenances, unto her the faid E. D. her Heirs and Affigns for ever, of the Lord of the Manor aforefaid, by the Rod, according to the Custom of the faid Manor, by the Rents and Services therefore due and of Right accuftomed: And fhe gave to the Lord for a Fine, for fuch her Fine 11. 75. Eftate and Entry in the Premiffes, as appears in the 8 d. Margin, and Fealty was pardoned; and fo faving always the Right of the Lord, the faid E. D. was admitted Tenant thereof in Form aforefaid.

Hereas certain Differences have Licence to a

to wit, R. Mariner, (one of the customary Tenants of the fue touching faid Manor, and R. S. of L. Wine-Cooper, and F. his Copyhold his Wife, touching and concerning their feveral Copy- in any Court hold Lands and Tenements, fituate, lying and being of Record, at R. aforefaid, within the faid Manor: Be it remembred, That on the- -Day of in the Year of our Lord W. B. Efq; Lord of the Manor aforefaid, by W. N. Efq; Steward of the faid Manor, doth grant Licence unto the faid . H. to commence and profecute one or more Suit or Suits, Action or Actions at Law, against, or otherwife, to fue, arreft or implead the faid R. S. and F. his Wife, or either of them, their or either of their Heirs, Executors, Adminiftrators or Affigns, or any of them, in any Court or Courts of Record whatfoever, for, touching and concerning the faid Copyhold Lands and Tenements aforefaid, or any Part or Parcel of them, or any the Appurtenances belonging thereunto (any Law, Cuftom, Ufe or Ufage of or within the faid Manor, to the contrary thereof in any wife notwithstanding) provided that fuch Suit or Suits, Action or Actions to be commenced and profecuted, be fo commenced and profecuted within one Year after the Date hereof, or otherwife this Licence to be void and of no Effect.

Precept is to view an Annoyance.

The like Licence to R. S. and F. his Wife, to fué 7. H. mutatis mutandis.

Also, They prefent, that whereas a Precept bearing Date the Day of laft paft, was awarded by the faid W. N. (Steward of the Manor aforefaid) under his Hand and Seal unto H. A. T. C. T.G. J. B. A.G. T.E. J. C. H. C. T. A. cuftomary Tenants of the faid Manor, commanding them, or any feven of them, to repair unto the customary Tenements or Land of W.D. one of the customary Tenants of the faid Manor, fituate and being in L. within the faid -; then in the Occupation of the faid W. D. and his Tenants there; and there to view, fearch and fee what Damage, Annoyance or Prejudice was there done, committed or made upon the Tenements or Land afore faid, by the Tenants of W. W. there, by ftopping the antient Watercourse, Ditch or Channel, leading from, by or through the faid Tenements or Land, or by di verting the fame out of its right Courfe; and to fee and fet out by Marks and Stakes where the faid Wa tercourse ought to run; and to make a true Return thereof, at or before this Court; Now at this Court the faid cuftomary Tenants have made their Return of The Return. the faid Precept, in thefe Words following, viz. According to the Precept to Us directed, We the customary Tenants of the Manor of S. whofe Names are hereunto fubfcribed, have repaired unto the within named Tenements of W. D. one of the cuftomary Tenants of this Manor, and there have viewed and ferioufly confidered of the Damages by the standing Water upon the Ground of the faid W. D. happening by Reafon of raifing and improving the Ground, in the Occupation of the Tenants of the faid W. W. fo that the Water cannot have its free antient Course, by finking into the Ground as formerly, having been loofe, there not having been any Ditch or Channel, to pass the Water along within the Space of forty Years; according to the Evidence we have received. Alfo, They prefent, That there is due unto the Lord of the faid Manor, for a Tenement, with the Appurtenances, in H. in the Occupation of J. M. and

five Acres of Land in O. late belonging to H. B. and Rent appor E. B. deceased, the Sum or Yearly Rent of 5s. 4d, tioned. which they have apportioned as follows, viz.

That 7. M. who now enjoys the faid five Acres of Land, fhall pay for the fame Yearly the Sum of 3s. 4d. And that R. D. Efq; who hath purchased the said Tenement, fhall pay the Yearly Sum of 25.

1. Proclamation was made for the Heirs of the faid Proclamation, T. S. to come in and take up the Lands to them defcended.

2. Proclamation made for the Heirs of R. M. to come in, &c.

Alfo, They prefent the Payment of five Pounds of Recognition lawful Money of Great Britain, by W. J. Deputy Money. Reeve of the faid Manor, for and in the Behalf of the Copyholders thereof, unto the faid Steward, for the Ufe of the Lord of the faid Manor, for the Recognition and Acknowledging their Service due unto the faid Lord, according to the Cuftom of the faid Manor, expreffed in the Thirty-ninth Article of the printed Cuftom-Book.

Alfo, They prefent W. M. and J. G. Surveyors of Prefentment the Hamlet of W. for the Year laft paft, for breaking of an Annoy up the Common within the faid Manor to dig Gravel, ance. and not filling up the Pits made thereby, but leaving the fame open, to the great Damage of the Copyholders of the faid Manor, and contrary to the Cuftom

Also, They do prefent J. B. and J. A. Surveyors of the Hamlet of L. for the Year aforefaid, for the like Offence: Wherefore they do amerce them at 20s. a-piece.

Alfo, They prefent that 7. S. one of the customary Tenants of the faid Manor, being seised of the Moiety of a Tenement in R. before this Court, was executed for Felony.

Alfo, They prefent S. H. and E. G. two of the cuftomary Tenants of the faid Manor, to the End the Lord of the faid Manor fhould elect and make Choice of one of them to be his Reeve of the faid Manor, for the Year now next ensuing.

And now at this Court the faid Lord did elect and make Choice of the faid E. G. to execute the faid Office for the Year aforefaid.
