About the author (2006)

George Laskaris was born in Rhodes Island, Greece, in 1960. At the age of three, his family migrated to Brisbane, Australia. He lives with his partner and their two young boys. He has diplomas in both business and marketing but prefers writing. Transferring thoughts to paper gives him solace, while spending time with his family gives him life.

''I have been humbled by life's burdens and expectations, in a good way. Since then I have had an overwhelming urge to express my ideas through the written word. Words are beautiful - in the correct format they can exude the 'grace' of a dancing ballerina or the unbridled power of Mother Nature. They are the ultimate tool and capable of connecting the writer and reader to happiness and their hearts desire. The possibilities are infinite. I feel that when one writes to express "that which is in their heart and they truly believe, then the work will always represent art. From these heartfelt expressions, we gain an understanding of our fellow man.''
