who was laid daily at the gate of the temple, which is called

Beautiful, to ask alms of those that entered into the tem3 ple : who, when he saw Peter and John about to go into 4 the temple, asked [to receive] alms. Then Peter and

John earnestly beheld him, and Peter said, “Look on 5 us.” And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive 6 something from them. Then Peter said, “ Silver and gold

of Israel, why wonder ye at this ? or why look ye earnestly

on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had 13 made this man to walk? The God of Abraham and of Isaac

and of Jacob, even the God of our fathers, hath glorified his servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied in the

presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him, 14 But ye denied the holy and righteous one; and desired a 15 murtherer to be granted unto you; and killed the conduc
