Lydia: Wife of Hugh Miller of Cromarty

This biography of Lydia Miller, the wife of well-known writer Hugh Miller, brings to life an individual who until now has remained relatively unknown. This book reveals Lydia’s upbringing, education, and the romantic story of how she fell in love and married a “plain working man,” as Hugh described himself, with little formal education and apparently few prospects.
