About the author (2012)

Katie Piper is a presenter and charity campaigner. In 2008 she survived a rape and acid attack that left her facially disfigured. Her moving Channel 4 documentary was watched by 3.5 million viewers. Katie founded her own charity to help people living with burns and scars and recently received a prestigious Woman of the Year award.
