Everywhere he goes misfortune follows Señor Tiger, an endangered rainforest tiger cat cub who was born with huge ears and enormous awkward paws. When the cub's mother determines that it's time for him to learn to make his own way in the jungle, she nudges him to set out on a journey. Other animals and birds in the forest laugh and make fun of Señor Tiger, but Perico, a bi-lingual parrot, notices that he is in trouble. Perico decides to follow him for several days and discovers that Señor Tiger is starving because he can't catch his food. Life for Señor Tiger was not turning out the way he expected!
