The ideas of Peterson's are dangerous. The fact that he has gained widespread attention and adoration from many is pause for serious concern. The problem isn't at first that Petterson's seemingly innocent and well intentioned premise of restoring young men's faith in themselves is a bad one. However that's not what Peterson's up too here has much deepe and darker motives at play here. There is a disconcerting at times visceral response to the undercurrents that inform the cult and ideological premises that Peterson's is most cynicaly employing. Peterson implicitly uses his skills and knowledge of aspects of the human condition and insecurities to pray for profit and worse poisnous dangerous doctrine appealing to deep base instincts. Clearly he's a canny observer of human interest and reactions especially what grabs the attention of the young middle class men he has lectured over years to model narratives that on the surface hold certain instinctual or subconscious appeal but that doesn't make them the truth. If you subject this material to any kind of intellectual scrutiny, rigour, or testing. The hypocrisy reveals itself. The real and present danger of what Petterson is selling here reveals itself for what it is..The fixation with Ancient Myth and symbology which like Hitler before him manipulated to his own ends and informed his incomprehensible terror. Make no mistakes about it Petterson's own dangerous ideological position ends in tears and misery for millions. Hi
People qualified to speak more eloquence and nuance than myself need to confront this head-on stand up reveal his fallacies and expose his true malevolence Petterson's is a confected malicious manipulation of any objective or subjective truths.

You know you are 20 - 50 years old, what this book talks about you has been happening with "You" since the past 35 million years ago, as you are mere next step in the entire evolution in the history.
He tells you that you leave and lose those empty "motivators" who ask you to do until you die, rather he says there is someone inside you, who you have left alone and scared in the dark... if you want anything to ask him to help you and then take that person on a fine dinner with you... both of you are same yet so far away... I have tried this book and is life changing...
Why you forget the keys/names ... maybe you have a bad memory... maybe you are sad.. or maybe you have been telling yourself so many lies... such as a fake smile, a boring gossip, a "YES" where you just wanna yell "NO", when you do that a part of slowly and steadily you start knowing at some deeply personal level that you are untrusted ... and slowly among those many voices one may be telling you about the name or the location of the key... all other know... You are Just faking One more time...
You will love him... better hear him on audible...Thank and Upvote me ...for recommending this .. but only once you are done with the book...

Jordan peterson is one of the greatest minds in the 21st century, this book is a great manual for life. As what jordan said, we need to be ready for anything and search for meaning not pointless happiness

I had been following Jordan Peterson for a year or so and had high expectations prior to reading/listening (Audible) to this book. Every expectation was exceeded. After finishing the book, I immediately listened to it again. I found this work to be very informative, enjoyable, enlightening, and transformative. I have since purchased Maps and Meaning and several hardcover editions of 12 Steps... which I will pass along to family and friends. 12 Steps is a must read/listen!

A book that clearly annoys people who love to think of themselves
as intellectual but aren’t whilst simultaneously being rewarding
to real people, both genuine intellectuals and “common Joe’s” a like.

What a moronic simple-minded book. The perfect book for people who don't read books.

Genuinely a master piece in it's own accord and honesty. I traveled many years and orbited around the sun many times, to discover the joy of reading and hearing Jordan Peterson. After studying him for a while on Youtube I decided to buy his books, 12 rules for life being one of them. My expectations were needless to say very high, but he fulfilled those and delivered even more astute insightful writings. Which are both well written, entertaining and enlightening beyond time and space.
This is the kinda of book that should be mandatory in public schools.
