CONGREVE's MONUMENT, with Embellishments defigned to exprefs the Poet's Comic Genius.

On the Top is a Monkey viewing himself in a Mirror with the following infcription:

Vita imitatio,

Confuetudinis fpeculum,
Comedia.

Comedy is the Imitation of Life, and the Mirror of Fashion.

The Effigy of the Poet lies in a careless Pofture, with this Epitaph:
