About the author (2007)

Carol A. Mullen, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of South Florida, Tampa, and a graduate of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Dr. Mullen specializes in curriculum leadership, graduate student development, and mentoring theory and practice. She supervises the Writers-in-Training (WIT), a thriving doctoral cohort. Dr. Mullen has published over 100 journal articles and book chapters, and, as guest editor, twelve special issues of academic journals. This award-winning researcher has also published nine other academic books. Dr. Mullen is editor of the refereed international journal, Mentoring & Tutoring.
