About the author (2011)

Teresa Heapy is an award-winning author who started her career as a Commissioning Editor in children's publishing. She has written 10 picture books, including the award-winning Very Little series, and over 80 educational titles. Her books have been translated into 13 languages. She loves visiting libraries, schools, bookshops and festivals to read to children and inspire them to write their own books. Alan Baker has written and illustrated over 40 books of his own, six of which have been chosen for the book of the year list. These include the Little Rabbit series which have sold over 750,000 copies to date worldwide. White Rabbit's color book was a 2008 IBBY choice. His style consists of a pencil rough with final artwork rendered using traditional methods - watercolour, pen and ink, airbrush, and crayon. The illustration is produced as separate elements and then composed and colour adjusted in photoshop using layers. Alan Baker has won the Benson & Hedges illustrators gold award, Gold Creative Circle award, Silver Campaign Press award. He also gained a IRA/CBC. Childrens Choice award & was a Flair Creative match winner.
