Diagnostic Ultrasound: Head and Neck

Front Cover
Amirsys, Incorporated, May 14, 2014 - Medical - 576 pages
"The book is divided into three parts: 1. Anatomy, which covers relevant sonographic anatomy in the head and neck (with complementary images from CT, MRI); 2. Diagnoses, the core content of the book with detailed sonographic description of common Head & Neck lesions, key clinical information and practical scanning tips towards identifying the wide spectrum of diseases in this region; 3. Differential Diagnoses, which provides differential diagnoses for common sonographic signs/appearances. Although the book is on ultrasound, readers will find images from other imaging modalities so as to highlight the importance of multimodality imaging in modern clinical practice. This book is a compilation of Head and Neck sections of three previous books published by AMIRSYS, namely Diagnostic Imaging: Ultrasound; Diagnostic and Surgical Imaging Anatomy: Ultrasound and Expertddx: Ultrasound. The text & images (over 400) in the Anatomy section of the book remain relatively unchanged from the earlier book. In addition to the twenty diagnoses in the Diagnostic section of the earlier book, twenty one new diagnoses/chapters have been added. This entire section of the book now contains over a thousand images (almost all of these are new images with comprehensive annotation), in particular, illustrative images of shear wave elastography & strain imaging have been included. The key facts box feature of the book remains in this section & is ideal for a quick review for readers with short attention spans. The Expertddx section of this book has over two hundred & fifty images (half of which are new) & includes key references."--Provided by publisher
