There exist two issues of The plays of William Shakspeare printed by T. Davison in 1806 differing in size and slightly in format and settings of type. In this large-paper issue, the books measure approximately 22 cm, all gatherings are in 8vo format, and the colophon of the Tempest divisional title reads "Thomas Davison, Printer, White-Friars." The regular paper issue measures approximately 17 cm, some gatherings, such as the Tempest, are 12mo in 6's, while the majority of gatherings are in 8vo format, and the colophon of the Tempest divisional title reads "Thomas Davison, White Friars."
