Lovely book that explains the examen in good and simple terms, and had examples and stories from the authors' lives to explain it practically. The examen is a way of looking at your day, week, job, life etc and asking the questions what moment am I most grateful for/what has been the most life-giving ('consolation') and what moment am I the least grateful for/what has been the most life-draining ('desolation')... I liked the illustrations too in this thoughtful and inspiring book.
[2017] This book came up in a party and that's reason enough to read it again! Still lovely.
